Ahmed Mustafa Fahmy, new head of the League of Arab States’ China representative office met with Gao Fei, CEO of Grand Sunergy, in Beijing on August 13th. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on the participation of Chinese new energy companies in the Arab world’s energy transition plans.

Fahmy noted that China’s Belt and Road Initiative aligns closely with the strategic vision of the Arab League in many aspects. From the perspective of trade and investment trends, there is currently a positive “mutual pursuit” between China and Arab countries in the new energy sector.

Arab countries generally have an urgent need for energy transition, with many having proposed medium to long-term national development plans and possessing strong capital foundations. Meanwhile, China’s economy is rapidly developing, accelerating the formation of new productive forces, and boasts a complete industrial chain and leading technologies in sectors such as photovoltaics, wind energy, and energy storage. In the future, there will be even broader prospects for cooperation between China and Arab countries in the new energy field.

Gao Fei expressed his gratitude for Fahmy’s warm reception and highlighted the advanced nature of heterojunction (HJT) photovoltaic products and solar cell technology. He also briefly introduced the business development of Grand Sunergy and its overseas market strategies. He emphasized that the Arab new energy market holds significant market development potential and represents the next important global market for new energy.

Grand Sunergy is committed to promoting cooperation with relevant departments and enterprises in the Arab League, sharing experiences in the investment, construction, and operation of photovoltaic power plants and other new energy projects, and actively participating in local energy transition plans to contribute to the energy structure transformation in the Arab League region.
