On July 10, during his visit to China, President Embaló of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau met with Gao Fei, CEO of Grand Sunergy, in Beijing. The two parties had an in-depth exchange on the topics of energy structure transformation, upgrading, and the development and construction of new photovoltaic energy projects.
Guinea-Bissau is an important country in Africa, boasting excellent high-irradiation solar energy resources and great potential for photovoltaic power generation. The World Bank has recently stated that it will focus on supporting the construction of photovoltaic power plants to lower average electricity costs, diversify the energy structure, and accelerate the realization of a “green, efficient, and economical” energy system. President Embaló emphasized that Guinea-Bissau welcomes cooperation with Chinese new energy enterprises and aims to contribute more to the new energy power industry and socio-economic development. At the same time, Guinea-Bissau will provide a favorable business environment for Chinese new energy companies to promote the development of new energy projects.
Gao Fei stated that Grand Sunergy will effectively accelerate its steps towards internationalization, deeply integrating into the “Belt and Road” initiative, especially in the African market. Guinea-Bissau is one of the most promising markets in Africa and a pioneer in integrating photovoltaics into the power structure. High-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) technology is a leading technology in global photovoltaic mass production. As a representative of Chinese high-efficiency HJT enterprises, Grand Sunergy is willing to cooperate with domestic industry chain partners to promote the construction of new energy projects. This will help improve the electrification rate of the population in Guinea-Bissau, facilitate green and low-carbon transformation, and contribute to the promotion of new energy project cooperation.
Upholding the mission of “Making the Earth Greener, Enhancing Lives for the Better” Grand Sunergy entered the renewable energy field in 2022. The new energy sector focuses on the production of high-efficiency HJT cells and modules, from crystal pulling, slicing to cells, and modules. The company is currently gradually advancing the layout of the vertical ecological industry chain. With a professional R&D team rich in industry experience and advanced technology, Grand Sunergy has launched four major HJT module series: the Eutropic series (182), the Expedition series (210R), the Chasing series (210), and also the Seapower series, which is suitable for offshore photovoltaics. Additionally, it provides comprehensive solutions for partners, including project development, EPC, and O&M services.
