Continuing Partnership, Deepening Cooperation | Grand Sunergy and CGN Luopu Sign Procurement Orders

On September 24th, Grand Sunergy signed Partial procurement orders with CGN New Energy Luopu Co., Ltd. (“CGN Luopu”)  under the CGN New Energy 2023-2024 PV Module Framework Procurement Contract (Lot 7), which was reached in October 2023. The total contract amount, including taxes, is approximately 483 million RMB.

According to the agreement, Grand Sunergy will supply photovoltaic modules for CGN’s 500MW photovoltaic desertification control project in Luopu County, Hotan Prefecture, China. This project is located 15 kilometers east of Luopu County, at the southern edge of the Taklamakan Desert. It employs photovoltaic desertification control technology, integrating new energy with ecological management to achieve both desert stabilization and soil transformation.

Grand Sunergy is actively pursuing the integration of new energy + ecological governance dual business model. The Ecological Division places a high priority on the development of the new energy industry alongside desert management. Leveraging a professional desertification control technical team, the company has developed a systematic desert management approach.

Grand Sunergy and CGN have long-standing, strong, and mutually trusted cooperation. Recently, Grand Sunergy has also successively supplied two landmark projects: China’s largest HJT offshore photovoltaic project to date—the 400 MW offshore photovoltaic project in Zhaoyuan, Yantai—and the 600 MW Laizhou Tushan Salt-Light Complementary PV project, which is a model project for ecological restoration to combat soil salinization.

The company is providing high-quality products and services to support the successful execution of these high-profile projects. Zhao Zhiyuan, Executive Vice President of the Photovoltaic Division at Grand Sunergy, said: “The company will continue to support clients in achieving their goals with reliable product quality, stable supply, and comprehensive technical services, and will fully assist in the implementation of more benchmark and leading projects.”
